Bishop Q. W. & First Lady Wingate
Prior to becoming a pastor, Quintin W. Wingate served in nearly
every capacity of the church; Sunday School teacher, Audio/Visual
technician, youth minister, choir member, Athletic Director,
usher and custodian. He understood that good leaders must
first be good followers. He assumed the pastorate of Pentecostal
House
of God (PHG) in September 1985, after the death of our former
pastor. In 1986, he left his job and assumed full time pastoral
duties. As he grew in the Word of God, he was granted favor
from the Almighty, and excelled tremendously in the ministry.
In 1988,
Pastor Wingate was ordained as District Elder of the Pentecostal
Churches of the Apostolic Faith Inc. (P.C.A.F.) Michigan
Diocese.
Serving faithfully, his leadership did not go unnoticed. He
was selected as an official member of the Executive Board of
Bishops P.C.A.F. Inc. He serves as the Assistant Council Chairman
of the Michigan State Council P.C.A.F. Inc., 5th Episcopal
District. Pastor Wingate is recognized for assisting in organizing
the
Midwest Bible College Institute.
As Pastor of a thriving urban ministry, Pastor Wingate works
diligently to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to lead
and guide the people of God. As CEO, he oversees the PHG Executive
Board of Directors, Ministers Alliance, Board of Deacons, Administrative
staff and numerous ministries and departments.
Pastor Wingate is very profound and skillfully trained in
teaching and preaching the Word of God. He is frequently sought
after for speaking engagements all over the United States,
complimenting his genuine love for God and for God's people.
His most recent accomplishment came with the election and ordination
as the youngest "Bishop," within the Pentecostal Churches of
the Apostolic Faith, Inc.
Pastor Wingate is the 6th of 13 children born to Martha and
Charlie Wingate, Sr. Moreover, with his service to God and
the PHG family, his personal pride and joy comes from being
the beloved husband to his wife Brenda Faye, and the father
of 8 beautiful children: Rokita, Racquel, Rachel, Darnell,
Darius, Rochelle, Renita and Damarcus.
